Looking for the correct word that fits the following context.  It
sounds like "quag" negative:

A gram-positive staph FE or a "quag" negative staph, you might
consider more as a contaminant if it was early on from an injury.

Hello.

What you heard is: "coag negative staph."

"If the CRI is not persistent, is caused by coag negative staph..."

It's short for "coagulase negative staphylococci."  More information
