Question ID: 318351
I am unable to join a NT 4.0 workstation to a W2K domain unless it is
located in the same site as the PDC emulator. I have 15 sites located
around the world. Do I have to move the PDC emulator to each site in
turn in order to get my stinking NT 4.0 boxes in to the domain? I have
the active directory client loaded. It did not help.

Are you able to resolve the NetBIOS domain name of your Windows 2000
Domain on the workstation that you want to add ?

Doublecheck the WINS database for both the W2K domain name and make
sure the PDC Emulator is listed as the domain controller to respond

Another thing you might consider is configuring the lmhost file on
your clients with the NetBios domain name and the name+ip of the PDC
emulator
