Dear davidsinclair,

The piece you are looking for is, without any doubt, the "Trio No. 2
for Violin, Violoncello and Piano in E Minor, Opus 67, Movement IV
(Allegretto)" by Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975).

All four movements of Shostakovich's "Trio No. 2, Opus 67", played by
Svyatoslav Knushevitsky, Lev Oborin and David Oistrakh, are included
on this CD available from Amazon for $13.98:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004WHAL/103-7163548-1327811

As an alternative, the complete "Trio No. 2, Opus 67", played by the
Nash Ensemble, is also included on this 2-CD set, available from
Amazon for $10.98:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004LCB0/103-7163548-1327811
