I have some points on my credit card that allow me to get a free
roundtrip ticket within the contiguous 48 United States. I live close
to Newark, NJ International airport. What are the "most expensive
destinations" from Newark airport if I would have to pay for the
ticket? In other words, what trips from Newark to other major US
cities "save" me maximum amount of money when I redeem those points?
Exact airlines does not matter, day of the week does not matter, I
just need most expensive (non-stop!) destinations in general.

Yes, continental US, ANY airline. Direct flight is not THEIR
restriction, it's mine. I don't like connecting flights even if it's
cheap :)

It depends...can the points be used on any airline? And what are the
rules about destinations, is it the continental US or are Alaska,
Hawaii and the territories included? This will effect the answer.

I used Continental's(Most Flights out of Newark) Route Map and took
the major cities on it. I then used continental.com's search (which
gaurentees the lowest cost or you get a $100 credit.) I used
figuritave dates 6/2/04-6/8/04 and searched the.
Omaha is like $370
Key West
and
San Diego
Both over 300)
Tuscon is expensive(close to $400) but it's not a direct flight.
