I have someone using my Social Security number; his name comes up on
the NCIC when my SS# is entered. I have been to the SSA, local police
and FBI and I only get the runaround. I am traveling to Europe this
fall and don't want to have any unexpected problems when CAPPSII is in
place. How do I get this man, who has a record, off of my clean
record?

My main concern is the travel. If this cross match will not pose any
problems with me getting on a plane I really am not too concerned
since I have put fraud alerts on my credit. This man has no physical
similarity to me. The man has, however, attempted to get something
financed using this number. My main fear is when the new CAPPSII
system is in place that my physical appearance will not matter, that a
computer will rate me RED. I have heard many stories of people with
names similar to those on some mysterious list who are not allowed to
fly.

I'm sure you have though of this, but just in case: The story you
paint must be based upon documentation and facts; get as much as you
can in writing, carry it with you, be prepared to show it all to
convince anyone who disturbs your freedom that you are not the "bad
guy".
