How do the theoretical models of social cognitive theory and sociocultural cognition differ? (*Or* if they don't differ, by whom / in which context is each term used?) I'd appreciate some brief info on points of difference in their definitions, the methods used to measure/explore them (i.e., experimental design vs. ...?), etc., AND/OR a link to a book or a highly credible web site that would address my question in an easy-to-read manner. My own field is media studies, but I'd welcome an answer from the perspective of any related discipline (education, psychology, sociology, etc). Thanks! |

I am a lay person and perhaps you might feel like laughing at my suggestion here. Anyway, here goes : Perhaps an understanding of COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY might be helpful for your subject. Try out http://moodgym.anu.edu.au You have to register to use their, well 'educational online tools'. I also recommend the book 'FEELING GOOD : The New Mood Therapy' by David D Burns. Hope this was helpful. |
