Tried to follow FAQ#14 to delete my question to which I received
satisfactory comments. Can't do "click on your question" (which
part?) and can't find "close question" on top of page. Please explain
it again to this dummy.

Hi carmi604,

I suspect the problem you are having is that you are not logged in.
Make sure you log in then click on MY ACCOUNT at the top of the page.

There, the pulldown menu should read "Show my complete list of
questions" and you'll see your questions. If not, pull down the
dialog box and select that.

Click on the title of your the question you want to remove. The link
will take you to the actual question page.

At the top of the page will be the "close question" button. Click it.
Confirm it.

Note - This will not "remove" your question from the list, it will
just close it so that nobody can post an Answer.

Hope that helps -K~

Thank you very much, knowledge seeker. So far could not find the
"close question" button even though I am logged in. I must do
something wrong.
Another query - is it not possible at all to remove the text of the
question from the list? I think it should (be made possible).

Hi carmi604,

I'm feeling bad taking your money here for a question that really
should be addressed to Google and answered for free, especially since
my Answer didn't solve your problem.

At this point all I can tell you is to send an email to:
 answers-support@google.com.

Explain your difficulty (again) and include a link to this Question
and the one you are trying to have removed. They should help you sort
out your difficulties. Unfortunately, as a researcher I'm not privy to
official policy of Google with regard to deleting questions. That's
something you will have to work out with them.

Good Luck - K~

Please don't feel bad. Your answer was the same as the one I received
from <answers-editor@google.com>, suggested by a comment maker.
Apparently, one can ask for a question being expired but not for it
taken off the list. I find this despotic because, as first attempt
with with site (not with the question you so kindly answered), I now
find it wrongly formulated and don't want it to be seen. Thanks again,
Carmi604

Thanks very much for the stars and the kind words. I do hope this
hasn't soured you on the Google Answers process and that you continue
to use the service.

Enjoy your day -K~

Only one *free* advice: next time when you have such a problem save
your money on asking another question in "google-answers" and ask the
google-answers management (at: mailto:answers-editors@google.com) they
are very helpful (and they do that for free :-)

Thanks , guru. I sent them an email but so far it seems it is
possible to let a question expire but not remove its text from the
list. A pity. Carmi604

This for political-guru.
The comment starting "Please don't..." was messaged to a researcher.
Please disregard it. Thansk. Carmi604
