Kamyt -- Ford has made several runs at using cross-functional teams to design a world car. Here's one e-book example that explores how the project went on the Mondeo, a car introduced in 1995: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006ISO7/002-4934179-5017627?v=glance#product-details Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Business @ The Speed of thought by Bill Gates is an easy read and very informative. He covers many topics in his experience as founder of the largest Software company in the world. The book provides many insights and rationalizes descisions when making some of the toughest descisions (in my opinion) that proved to be successful. While he does not focus entirely on any specific project within the company, the book covers a whole variety of subprojects and other internal projects which have never made it to market. Additionally, he covers perspectives from that of his colleages to give a clearer picture of his point of view when nessecary. Even if you were not studying project management in general, it is always good to hear what a self proven leader has to say about success in a highly volatile business market. |
