I have tried to obtain a copy from my usual sources libraries, etc.

I live in the UK.

Dear probonopublico-ga,

Bryan,
I also had no luck with UK sources.

The New York Library has Volumes 4-17 (no.47-193, 195-196) (Nov.,
1953-June, July-Sept., 1966)
This is the catalogue entry:
http://catnyp.nypl.org/search/sthe+diplomat/sdiplomat/1,72,90,B/frameset&FF=sdiplomat&1,1,?save=b6751283

If the link does not work go to the search page, type "the diplomat",
and it should be the first on the list.

How do you get a copy of the page you require? I shall leave this as a
clarification, for a fellow researcher in the US may be able to visit
this library or know of another resource.

Failing that, the library has a resource named the NYPL Express which
may be able to provide a copy for you.
Use the navigation on the left to explore their terms and conditions, and fees.

Hi, Answerfinder

You are brilliant!

Very many thanks.

I've ordered a copy of the article, using the NYPL service that you identified.

No response yet (I bet they're still in bed) but you have done
everything that I asked, so please post your RQC as an Answer.

Warmest regards

Bryan

Dear Bryan,
Thank you for accepting my answer. If it does not work out with New
York, let me know by way of clarification, and I shall try and source
it at another archive.

P.S. re 318630. I had no problems with your ski-ing comment, I was
just rather clumsy with my attempt at humour. I didn't mean to cause
you any difficulty with the comment.

Hi, Again, AF

Just to let you know that I've now received the article that I wanted.
Very many thanks!

Now, you can have a sip of Dark Rum ... but not too much, please, we
all know that you can get just a little silly when you've had a few.

Warmest regards

Bryan

Bryan,
Excellent, pleased to hear it.
I'm sure you found it, but this is the main search page for the Library.
http://catnyp.nypl.org/
Good luck with the research.

Hi, Again, Afi

(I hope you don't mind my familiarity.)

And, again, many thanks!

My order was duly accepted and I am anticipating that the copy will
become available in 3 or 4 days, the regular delivery option.

I really don't know what I would do without you.

Have a bottle of bubbly on me ... (Sainsburys are doing special offers
at the moment, at least where I live.)

Warmest regards

Bryan

Bryan,
Thank you very much for tip and the rating. If you don't mind, I'm
rather partial to a drop of dark Rum - keeps the brain cells well
oiled.
