My windows 2000 machine asks for a password when I try to access it
from other machines on my network. I have never put a password on
this machine. Other machines are Win98, WinXP, and WinME...yeah, I
have a bit of everything. I can access all other machines but this
one wants a password that I don't believe exists.

Thank you

Simple:
Create an account and assign a password to it and use that OR
use administrator with no password.
