I am sure that you can help me find 2 or 3 great web sites of car
stereo equipment for super low prices.

I am interested in car stereos, subwoofers, amplifiers and speakers---
for use in cars. Such brand names as Alpine, Eclipse, Kenwood, Sony,
etc.

This is for my son. I bragged a whole bunch about you guys and gals!!

God bless you to know and do His will!

Howdy, John!

I don't know much about car stereo, but a friend told me that this
site has good deals:

Hello pinkfreud. I am not the actual buyer, but little I asked my son
before posting the question, I think these prices are pretty steep
unless
$349 means Mexican pesos and not USA dollars!

Try again. :o)

John:

The online retailer I personally use for car stereo equipment is
SoundDomain.com ( http://www.sounddomain.com ). They carry equipment
from low-end, to high-end. Now, before you say that they are pricey as
well, please note that along with their highly-competitive prices are
excellent prices (and free stuff) on all of the parts you need to
actually install the car stereo and speakers. The SoundDomain.com
forums are an excellent resource for free technical advice during the
install. And, their customer service is well above par.

Hope this helps.

John:

If it's purely price you are after, you can take a look at the
multi-vendor links available through DealTime.com's car audio section:

http://www.dealtime.com/xCH-car_audio_and_video

Another 'cheap' site for car audio (but one that I have not tried
using yet) is CarDiscountStereos.com (
http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/ ).

Finally, there's CBRStereo.com ( http://www.cbrstereo.com ).

These are the lowest cost, US-based authorized retailers for the
brands you mentioned. You may find lower-priced grey-market or used
goods on eBay, that's about the only other way to get the goods at
less cost.

Companies that feature info-rich websites, but have higher prices, include:

Crutchfield
http://www.crutchfield.com

eTronics (well, their prices aren't THAT bad)

Hope this also helps,

My son says that the prices are still not low enough. He wants to buy
and then resell here in Mexico. He usually buys in San Antonio, TX or
Laredo on the border. He does not have that much capital yet, so he
cannot buy too much of quantity which would get him lower prices.

Thank you for trying.

If he's looking to do small-quantity importing into Mexico, then the
online retailers are not the right place for him to look. They are
targeting the average consumer, who is looking for a good deal on a
single unit as compared to their local BestBuy or Circuit City. Most
small authorized dealers with brick-n-mortar stores can usually do
better on a case by case basis because the extra quantity might help
them reach another discount level with their distributor. That means
they can make more money on the units that they would normally sell
anyway, so they are more likely to cut a good deal to the person who
helps make it happen.
