Maybe it's short for Buenas Dias? |

I dont believe so because nobody answers "Buenos Dias" alone, but I thought the same the first time. I´m doing a linguistic research and the closest answere I have found out is that back in the beggining of telephony in Mexico the quality of the lines were so bad that people needed to say "bueno" to tell the operator that they can hear well. But I havent find any confirmation for this. |
