Hi Saber!

As the mother of two, I worried often during my sons' early
developmental years about whether or not everything was going along
the way it should have been, so I read everything I could lay hands
on. At 6 and 10, they seem to have turned out just fine, so perhaps
that worry and reading worked? ;)

A resource I found absolutely indispensable was "What To Expect The
Toddler Years", which listed month by month checklists, and detailed
chapters discussing what should be happening for each month:

Amazon also hosts the entire first chapter as a sample, listing
milestones for the thirteenth month:

For online checklists, Smarter Kids hosts a series of age based
checklists. You'll need to register, and they also ask you to
register the name and birthdate of a child to use the lists, but
registration is free, and you can list as many names and dates as you
wish:

The University of Michigan Health System offers a child development
resource page, complete with American Academy of Pediatrics links to
developmental checklists, broken down by age:

You can also find checklists by age through the Ontario County (NY)
Department of Public Health:

There are two other books that feature in depth checklists and
discussions, both of which aided me during the "worry years" -
Penelope Leach's "Your Baby and Child: From Birth to Age Five" and the
American Academy of Pediatrics publication, "Caring for Your Baby and
Young Child: Birth to Age 5":

I hope these are what you're looking for. If I can be of further
assistance, please let me know!

While not a checklist, see ChildStudy.net for early childhood
developmental information.
