Question ID: 319776
Where can we go to get real help with a defective ECS notebook (on warranty). We
purchased the new ECS (Model #GREEN 733) from a local computer shop in
Woodstock NB, Canada. We've had it about 10 months now, and from the
beginning it has had an intermittent habit of shutting itself
completely down, from time to time no rhyme or reason. The only way
to get it to run again is to unplug the power cord and remove the
battery. We complained to our "dealer", who tried to fix it, and
then sent it back twice to the distributor in Halifax. Each time they
seem to think its fixed but it is not. We called the distributor, who
isn't supposed to talk to "end-users", and he was courteous, but would
not give us any input. The "dealer" doesn't seem to care. We are out
$2000 (Canadian), and are presently using a rented computer. Is there
anyone we can phone (not email) to get customer service in ECS? We
need action while it is on warranty. We need a name and a phone
number.

applejackandjill-ga:

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your computer. Elitegroup's
North American headquarters are in the US:

http://www.ecsusa.com/aboutUs/contact.html

Their authorized Canadian distributors are listed here:

Is your dealer's distributor on that list?
