Detroit Diesel builds many diesel engines over three hundred HP. These large
Diesel engines are used in go into busses, eighteen wheelers,
generators, oil field equipment, marine, and other heavy duty diesel
applications. When these engines reach the end of their service life
most owners send the engine to an engine rebuilder for over haul. What

Like many of the other manufacturers, Detroit Diesel actually is their
own largest remanufacturer; they have a 400,000 sq. ft. facility in
Tooele, Utah dedicated to this line of business (marketed as their
'reliabilt' line of remanufactured engines and components through
their dealer and distributor network). There are regional shops that
rebuild Detroit Diesel engines along with just about any other brand
that comes through the door, but none that approach the size and scale
of Detroit Diesel's own operations.

Can you advise if you have any preferences for the location/region of
the second of the two rebuilders, with Detroit Diesel itself being the
first?
