The answer to your question is that the West Ashton Tournament was
held about 2-3 weeks before Wimbleton.

I called:

Wirral Tennis and Sport Centre
Valley Road
Tel. 0151 670 0397
Leisure Manager – Mike Barber

Although Bidston is not near West Kirby, the woman there was very
familiar with tournament placing it 2-3 weeks BEFORE Wimbleton. She
asked a gentleman who I could hear in the background and he instantly
said a "fortnight before Wimbleton. It was a warm up. They also
referred me to:

West Kirby Concourse
Grange Road
West Kirby
Tel. 0151 625 9271
Booking Tel. 0151 625 9188
Leisure Manager – Russell Taylor

The person who answered the phone said, "...3-4 weeks BEFORE
Wimbleton, but it could have been only a fortnight"....

My weekend rate to call England is quite low..

Thank you for googling with us at GA.
