We are a small design and Communications firm. We would like to
expand into the documentary area. We are looking for information on
packaging a proposal for PBS, a PBS station or a sponsor. Also, the
best ways to obtain funding from PBS, a PBS station or a sponsor. We
are thinking in terms of both a documentary and of a weekly show.
We understand that in some cases the proposals start with the local
PBS station and in other cases with the sponsor and in other cases
with PBS itself.
Are there any sites that outline the steps, give examples of proposals
and some of the money aspects of a proposal, ie: budget, funding and
funding steps.
Since the PBS is a public corporation (partially funded by the US
Gov?t), should proposals that have been submitted to PBS and funded be
available to the public. If so, where would I go on the Web to view
those proposals. (In order to get a better idea on how to pitch our
proposal, to review the financing of projects and see how the
financing is presented in the proposals..)
Also, the same questions with the local stations. Do stations like
WGBH-Boston, WETA-Washington and WNET-New York have to make their
proposals available to the public, and if so, where to find them.
Thank you in advance. |
