The IC number CXA2170 (aka CXA2170Q) is used in many SONY projection
TVs sold today (per the service manual) - I need a traditional
datasheet for the CXA2170 chip... none of the SONY semiconductor sites
(new, current, or archive) list it, nor do the free or the
pay-per-document sites. I will pay for a lead to a vendor that
definitely has one for sale under $50. Or a link to a free-site is
also cool, if not better:-) Thankyou. Yes, I know some Parts-sellers
reference it, but none that I have contacted have the datasheet, just
bulk parts for sale. |

This site *seems* to indicate they have it:
http://www.icxinyi.com/EN/
Enter the part number in the "Data" box, and select Datasheet from the
pull-down menu.
This brings up a list of files (downloadable, I think) but you need to
open an account at the site and pay them $10 to actually access the
records.
Let me know if it looks like the right materials.

re: http://www.icxinyi.com/EN/
i paid them $10 by credit card earlier this week, they gave me access
to the listed schemas, which are circuit diagrams for the SONY TV sets
"THAT USE" the IC CXA2170Q, i crossed my fingers and downloaded, and
got a .png file; which was only a segmented graphical image page of
the service manual that showed the schematics for the IC, but no other
information. I assume you know what a datasheet consists of, or an
application-data info doc; what icxinyi is offering (and even says
service-manual in front of the paths they list,) are NOT datasheets,
thanks for getting started on this; hope you find a real datasheet for
me; i've not onkly run many search engines, but i've posted in forums
"asking for it" - you may see me (Jay) appear in a search, (for
cxa2170) as a result. Best, J.

Sorry to hear you blew $10 bucks, but at least (whew!) it wasn't due
to advice I had given you. Yeah, I saw the "service Manual" in the
pathname, but the top of the list specifically said "datasheets", so I
was hoping for the best.
Anyway, I'll keep looking and let you know if anything turns up.

thanks! The "closest" i have come is http://www.cmbcomponents.com -
their site engine "acts like" it has the datasheet (some pdf icons at
some sites are simply registration-templates, for a fee, and then you
get "not found"- theirs "looks" promising) - when cmb searches for
CXA2170, it acts like it has the parts in stock AND a datasheet; i
registered there (required to "veiw the info icons) and despite 7
emails and 4 telephone calls over the course of a week, my
registration will simply not work; i suspect fraud laziness or
ineptitude (or all 3:-) PS- if you do try there, their look-up tool
seems to want you to turn off any pop-up blockers in order to execute
successfully. best, J,
