I am wishing to animate a gif image called "loading.gif" whilst the
form submits payment details via a payment gateway.

I have included the code below that I am currently using. I need
examples of how this code can be modified so that "loading.gif"
animates correctly during the submission process.

I am not interested in using flash as an alternative.

<table width=100% align="center">

Please wait while we process your payment.<br> <br>
Please do not hit the refresh or stop button of your browser.
Processing may take up to 60 seconds.

Hello Rparletta,

Hmm. Most browsers handle animated GIFs without any special coding. For example:
  http://members.aol.com/royalef/gifanim.htm
has a number of resources describing tools to produce animated GIFs
and has a few animated GIFs are displayed near the bottom (the
envelope, the guestbook). The source for one of them is
  <IMG SRC="emailed.gif" WIDTH="45" HEIGHT="52" ALT="EMAILED - the
classic E-Mailed AnimGIF"
	  ALIGN="Middle">
I downloaded a copy to look at it, and it has 55 frames in it to do
the animation. I assume you want something similar to this. If this
makes sense to you...

Do you need help creating an animated GIF?
or
Do you have an animated GIF and it does not look right?

If the latter, please post a copy somewhere we can download it /
analyze it. In either case, please clarify the question.

To clarify on earlier answers - i am not wishing to create an animated
gif, I already have one and it is called "loading.gif".

My problem is that I cannot get this gif to animate during a form submission.

I have attached the code in the page that does the form submission - I
need to add to this code so that the "loading.gif" will actually
animate.

Renato

rparletta,

I am trying to understand exactly what the problem you're detailing
is, and I must admit I'm a bit puzzled. This looks like a page that
is brought up when the "Submit" button on ANOTHER page is pressed...
is this correct? The Javascript you have running leads me to believe
that you're somehow transferring data from another page, to this page,
which then submits it via another script working elsewhere. If this
is the case, I'm also unable to understand exactly why the animated
GIF wouldn't load properly... are you entirely certain that you have
created it properly, and that the browser you're using is capable of
displaying animated GIF's?

Regards,

Bananarchy-ga
