Question ID: 320501
I'm viewing a quicktime video in my browser and I would like to save a
copy. I found the temp file where this video is sitting however I
can't copy (I'm not trying to move or open it) it over to a new
directory. I get an error saying it being used by another process.
Is there a way to force a copy of this file? If I exit Explorer (or
kill it) the file goes away. Thank you.

Download it with Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/)
instead of IE and try to save the file after exiting. If that does
not work, in Firefox, or Netscape right click on the link, a menu will
appear, select "save link to disk" and you should have a copy of the
file, porvided that the website is not obfuscating the URLs to keep
you from down loading directly.

What you can do is this.

First look at the HTML source for the webpage that has the quicktime video.
Second, open up notepad.
Third, in notepad, add <A HREF="http://url/for quicktime video.mov">right click</a>
Fourth, goto [File -> Save As] menu in notepad select the folder to
save to "Desktop". Set the "Save as type" to "All Files". Set the
filename to "copy.html" and save it.

Fifth, goto the desktop and click on the "copy" icon.
Sixth, you will see "right click" as a link. Right click on this file
and select "save as
