Hi grinfax,

The answer to your questions is yes, the Masters in Professional
Studies degree offered at New York University is considered a terminal
degree.

After having contacted NYU with this inquiry, I received this response today:

"Yes, the MPS is a terminal degree, meaning that it's the highest
level that can be achieved in this field. It's a practical hands-on
degree and requires 60 credits, 2-years full-time study. Some of our
graduates do continue to research on the PhD level as well, so that is
possible.
