Hello globals-ga:

In which country do you reside and hope to have this manufacturing,
etc., done? The U.S.?

Actually, if you can tell us the city or state in which you reside, or
the largest metro area nearest your town, it will help researchers
target manufacturers and packagers near you, for a start.

Since yours is a new product, you may need to have some in-person
meetings with manufacturers and distributors, just to get the ball
rolling.

Hello globals-ga:

Well, as it turns out, geography is pretty much irrelevant! (So aren't
you glad I asked :) In fact, most of the New England companies I found
either deal only with confectionary foods, or 100% organic/sports
nutrition bars, types of snacks. So, I wound up mostly going farther
afield.

SNACK FOODS CONTRACT MANUFACTURERS (These companies' plants seem to
meet all your criteria):

Wyandot:
http://www.wyandotsnacks.com
Hit "enter" at this main site and then click your way around the menu,
including "Our facilities," then take a virtual tour of their plants
in Marion, OH, and Jeffersonville, IN.

Wyandot also handles private label distribution.

Contact them at 1-800-992-6368.

Read more about Wyandot -- the giant in the contract manufacturing
snack business -- in this article from Snackfood & Wholesale Bakery
trade magazine:

"contract manufacturing opportunities . . . While they are extremely
price competitive and can be short in duration, the Company believes
that they provide a profitable opportunity for the Company to improve
the capacity utilization of its facilities [in Arizona and Indiana]."

PRIVATE LABELS (These companies *may* be open to discussing adding
your snack idea to their line-up of products. Once you have some
samples ready, it may be worth your while to approach them):

Wise Foods:

According to this 2001 issue of Private Label Buyer:
