Outlook 2003 Question...

I have been using Outlook 2003 for some time now. I am using the
cached exchange mode so it writes a .ost file that I have on my
machine. Early this week our company exchange server became infected
with a virus and has been offline since. So they created a temporary
exchange server so we could at least send and receive email. I had to
change the exchange name and so I deleted (I know this was probably
not a good idea) the current alias I have had for over a year and
added a new one. Well apparently this orphaned my outlook.ost file.

I now cannot get access to this 1.3GB file that resides on my machine.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks!

Cofiguration:

Outlook 2003
Windows XP Pro
Exchange Server 5.5
No personal folder just the .ost.

I dont understand much about outlook - just that I used it in my
previous organisation. WHen I switched the job, I copied my personal
mails, which were in .pst file. Now, i can open that .pst and read my
precious mails. And I just checked, there are utilities to convert
.ost to .pst . Offcouse, dont take my word for it. But if you might
want to try it - that is convert .ost to .pst . Also, I think there
are utilities which will help you access orphaned .ost files.

I appreciate your comment but there is no easy way to do this that I
have discovered for 2003. Those utilities work fine for previous
versions but not 2003.

Thanks
