If I replace the factory audio in my '67 Cadillac Fleetwood Broughm
and/or add components where there previously were none (additional
speakers, equalizers, multiple CD changer, amplifiers, subwoofers),
will that devalue the car?

I was thinking I would keep the original headunit that's in the dash
and put a new one in the glove compartment. I would replace the four
speakers with new ones of the same size so that no cutting would be
involved. I has hoping I would be safe with just those changes. But
I was also hoping that if I put things like amps and subs in the trunk
(where they would be out of sight) the value of the car would be
maintained.

I would say yes, any none factory modifications would. If you can
replace exsisting parts without (or little) modifications and keep the
orginal equipment for later reversal would be your best bet. Any
cutting in to the door panels would be hard to reverse, and panels for
that year will be hard to find (for replacement).
