Back in the mid-60's our public library allowed us to check out fine art prints. One of these prints made a strong impression on me and I would now like to aquire a print. However my memory of it hasn't translated into discovering what it was or who painted it. I hope you can help. Here's what I recall: it was named 'The Big Tree', the print was roughly 24" tall by say 18" wide, rich greens and blues, strong wind or storm, evergreen of some type, vertical in impression. Searching the web I find works depicting large spreading oak trees; this was not like that at all. Now almost 40 years have passed and I have become suspicious of my memory; but I feel I would recognize it if I saw it today. Thank you for your help. |

Hi aslan16! Could this be "The Big Tree" that you have in mind? http://www.trojanhorseantiques.com/WatercolorTheBigTree.jpg Thanks, Bobbie7 |

Good Morning! Wow, that's a great picture, but not the one. The one I'm looking for was probably done in oils and is much less an exact representation of the tree. Thanks for the effort! |
