I am looking for a postcard paper that has the "look and feel" of a
genuine postcard, i.e.
ability to instantly print a glossy photo quality picture on one side;
printed postcard back with the ability to customize for location and a
paper grade that can be written on as a normal postcard

Either ink-jet or dye-sublimation for digital production  
not 4-color printing press  
instant on-demand printing
production volume of 300 to 500 units per day o.k.
postcard must lie flat when finished (not curled like roll paper dye-sublimation)
postcard must have pre-printable backside for specific tourist locations
postcard must have the weight and feel of off-the-rack postcards
cost per unit in the range of 25 cents to 65 cents

best case scenario would be a high quality fast ink-jet postcard
printing machine or a dye-sublimation postcard printing machine from
which the produced postcards are flat, the back surface is suitable
for writing and it can be pre-printed with clients logo location of
photo scene and pertinent data as well as a stamp box, address lines
and center deliniator (separator) line.

finding the paper is my first priority

a great machine to print postcards would be my second
