Hi Sunny,

Finding the answer out to your question was a pretty quick one.
What I found out was that anytime you are touching a person, in a skin
care or haircare related way, you do always need to be a licenced
cosmotologist or esthetician. The reason for needing the licencing is
in case of any medical( such as an allergic reaction) reaction or
adverse effects.

I found this out my doing a google search for "boston beauty schools"
and then going to www.superpages.com through the google search to the
phone listings. I chose...

http:www.phonebook.superpages.com/yellowpages/C-Barber+&+Beauty+Schools/
S-MA/T-Boston/

Learning Institute for Beauty Sciences
867 Boylston Street # 2, Boston, MA 02116
(617) 424-6565

to speak with for starters. I spoke with a Mr. Hederson there who
advised me of the answer, but told me it might be a good idea to call
the State Board of Cosmetology at 1-617-727-7027. I called there, and
spoke with one of the licencing examiner for estheticians, Sarah was
her first name, she did not want to give her last. She verified the
information Mr. Hederson had given me and stated it was in fact true.

So, there you go Sunny. I hope this helps you out, and that it makes
your searching just a bit easier the next time.
