I am a webmaster designing a website for a furniture store that wants to go head-to-head with their competition by using the following method... When a competitor advertises in a local flyer or insert, my client will advertise right alongside saying they will beat the price for the exact same item -- if the product is ordered from my clients website. Here's where I need your help. When the potential customer visits my clients site, he/she will be asked to type in the name of the item of furniture they are looking for. (A lot of these businesses carry the exact same furniture from the same manufacturer, but under a private label.) What we need is a program that would search a database of competitors product names (which we have) and bring up the name of the same product my client sells under his private label. That way the customer enters the name of what they have seen elsewhere and compare that to my clients price for the identical item. Hope that makes sense. |
