Where can I purchase food packaging in the form of boxes (not
traditional round or cylindrical containers) suitable for packaging
ice cream (ie it is waxed or or has some other type of waterproof
lining) that is made of UNBLEACHED (ie brown, not white)
cardboard/paper ???? |

Hello lucylu-ga,
Can you give us a rough idea of how many such containers you will be
purchasing? This will give an indication of whether your container
can be custom-manufactured for you, or needs to be an "off the shelf"
item.
Also, are you looking for a quart container? Half gallon? Gallon? Another size?
Lastly, do you want containers without any printing on them, or are
you expecting the supplier to print any designs or product information
on the containers?
Thanks.

We will be initially purchasing about 5000 containers, so off the
shelf is probably a better option. The optimal size will be about a
"pint" although the "ice cream" s sold by the pound. It would be
great is larger sizes were availabble, but not absolutely necessary.
Currently, we want the containers to be blank,-"sleeves" will be
placed on them. Depending on volume, we may need pre-printed
packages. Thanks for your help

Lucylu-ga,
Thanks for the feedback. Your need for pint boxes actually threw me a
bit, so I want to make sure I understand what you're after.
Is this a box with a lid that you want to buy preformed?
Or is it it the type of box that is pre-cut, as a flat sheet, and then
folded (by you) to form a complete box.
Is there a product currently on the market that has the type of
package you're looking for, so I could see it as an example (even if
the example is not unbleached cardboard, it would still help to know
so I can picture exactly the type of package you're looking for).
Lastly, I understand that you want a box rather than a round
container...but are you sure about this? Allowing round containers
definitely expands the universe of possiblilites.
The more information you can provide, the better I can focus my
research to answer your question.
