Hello afton63-ga,
I've found one solution on the newsgroups which has worked for most users:
"Go to IE tools, internet options, general tab. Click on the cache
settings button and then 'view objects'. Delete anything you don't
recognise.(sic)"
It seems to be a problem with faulty rogue 3rd party plugins. If at
all possible go ahead and delete every plugin listed, and then
reinstall the plugins you need again (i.e. go to Macromedia and reget
Flash again, or Real and get RealPlayer again), but be wary of which
plugins you install, and never click "OK" or "YES" for those popup
windows which ask you to install plugins you're not sure about.
I would also recommend installing Spybot and Ad-aware which are two
programs which actively search and delete various spyware and
advertisement software which may have installed itself on your
computer adding to or even causing this problem. But first try
deleting the plugins for Internet Explorer because that is what the
solution for most users seems to surround. In the links below, I have
pointed to the homepages of Spybot and Ad-aware for your convenience.
Good luck!
