Alan Miller asserts that ?the almost absolute control over science and
technology now exercised by a relative handful of immensely powerful
private and governmental organizations? has caused numerous ethical
dilemmas and is in fact the reason that the field of bioethics has
arisen. Give two examples how private companies have attempted to
control science.

How do these examples of political or corporate control of science
relate to the media? In other words, does the media have a role in
this issue?
