From a Recent Washington Post discussion:
"In January, 2004, in responding to Paul O'Neill's book, President
Bush said "we were busy dealing with Desert Badger". At the time, no
one knew what he meant. It now seems that Desert Badger was a plan to
escalate the no-fly zones into a full-on war on Iraq by provoking
Saddam into shooting at our planes..."
I want to know the specific nature of "Operation Desert Badger." For
the purposes of this question only, answers that "it does not exist"
or that "it never happened" etc. etc. are NOT acceptable (such answers
are plentiful).
As this may involve an operation that the US government might wish to
conceal for political or other reasons, I expect that you will need to
have familiarity with obscure military and intelligence internet
resources in order get to the truth, if it can be found.
A sucessful answer will have at least two separate, high quality
confirming sources and enough (not all)of the facts (such as dates,
commanders, units involved, targets, personnel, details etc etc.) to
provide the basis for the next step(s) in investigating this question.
