Hello bigjoesr13-ga,

You may have the remanants of the bagle worm (a type of virus) as all
references to winupd.exe I've found make mention of different virii,
so if you have a virus scanner, please update it and scan. If you do
not, I have provided links to a bagle worm cleaner, as well as Trend
Micro HouseCall which is a free online virus scanner/cleaner which
works pretty well.

Additional Links:

Info on the bagle worm:

Bagle Cleaner:

HouseCall (run this regardless if the bagle cleaner works, just to
make sure no other virii are present):

Thank you for your question and I'm glad I could be of service.
