Hello bigjoesr13-ga, You may have the remanants of the bagle worm (a type of virus) as all references to winupd.exe I've found make mention of different virii, so if you have a virus scanner, please update it and scan. If you do not, I have provided links to a bagle worm cleaner, as well as Trend Micro HouseCall which is a free online virus scanner/cleaner which works pretty well. Additional Links: Info on the bagle worm: http://bitdefender.apposite.com.hk/support/virusinfo.php?menu_id=1&v_id=215 Bagle Cleaner: http://www.bitdefender.com/bd/downloads/removaltools/Antibagle-en.exe HouseCall (run this regardless if the bagle cleaner works, just to make sure no other virii are present): http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp Thank you for your question and I'm glad I could be of service. skermit-ga |
