Please click the link for the pdf test page at
http://www.myherald.com/temp/pdftest.html . It brings up a pdf page
that has a button on top saying "Bookmarks". With Acrobat Reader 6.0,
clicking the button opens Adobe's bookmark panel as intended. If
Acrobat Rader 5.0 is installed, nothing happens. The button seems to
work fine in 5.0 if I open the pdf file in Reader 5.0 directly, i.e.
without Acrobat Reader being displayed inside the IE interface.

How can I get a button like this to work properly in Reader 5.0 as well?

Thank you.

Marc.

I have Acrobat Reader 5.0 (I couldn't stand the search interface
in the newer 6.0 version), and the bookmarks tab opens just fine
for me, in both Mozilla and IE. Perhaps your particular plugin
is the problem, and is not working properly? Have you tried
uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat Reader?

Are you saying the bookmark panel opens OK when you click the red
button labeled "Bookmarks" ?

What operating system and browser do you use?

My apologies! I didn't see the red button initially, and was
referring to success by clicking on the bookmark 'tab' which
was visible when Reader opened the file. I now understand your
dilemma, as the bookmark section does *not* open for me in
either browser, but does when it's opened by Reader directly.
Again, sorry for the confusion.
