<Estate search in England.

The person that is dealing with your uncle?s estate will be granted
probate by the local probate registry. The person dealing with the
estate is issued with a document called a grant of representation. You
can get a copy of the grant of representation and the will either in
person or by post.

By post.
The application must be made in writing. Details required are the
full name, last known address and date of death of the person
concerned. Searches can also be made using less detail. If you don?t
know the exact date of death, you need to give a date from which you
want the search to be made. A search will be made covering four
years.
The service costs £5.00. The fee should be payable to "H.M.Paymaster
General", and if it is paid from abroad, must be made by International
Money Order or bank draft, payable through a United Kingdom bank and
made out in £ sterling
