URGENT REQUEST> I need a brief description (20-100 words) on what each
of these companies does.  I would also like a link to a home page if
one exists.  I have address for all and even phone numbers for some of
the companies.  For oexample using a US company:  Staples = "Major US

I actually have 51 companies in total but I want to see what you can
do with these ten.  I will post the others once I have reviewed these.

Please could I ask you to clarify your expectations?

We researchers are reluctant to take on a project unless we feel it's
likely we'll be able to satisfy the customer. If you were hoping for
more companies to be included in the answer to this question, you
might like to consider posting all the names now, so that researchers
can weigh up the chances of being able to meet your needs.

I did some preliminary research on a couple of the companies.
Although, as the comment below says, there is a good website to start
the research, it will be necessary to do further work to give you an
accurate idea of a company's activities, and to check whether they
have a website. For example, if one company is said to specialise in
"leasing", I guess you would want us to find out what kind of leasing,
if at all possible.

I would be interested in working on this for you, and feel confident
of being able to come up with answers for the list you have already
provided, but want to be sure we're not misunderstanding each other.

You said this was urgent - do let us know if you have a particular deadline.

I would like to have the work completed by Friday 4pm Eastern.

I will not post all the companies because of the way Google does its
pricing.  Ideally I would assign an amount per company say $10 per
company for the most important ones and $7 for less important ones and
$5 per least important.  But this seamed inefficient.  So I am
breaking this up into 4 chunks.

The purpose of the project is to assign a simple commodity code to
each supplier based on what they do.  IBM for example would get three
commodity codes:  IT Hardware, IT Software, IT Services, and
Professional Services.  Since the commodity coding structure is
complex (has 1000's of rows)  It is easier to ask someone to simply
summarize the companies main businesses and I will then classify based
on that.

As to meeting my needs.  As long as the description of what they do is
fairly accurate and covers the companies main activities I will be
satisfied.  I have other triangulation points to confirm the
classification (this is just one of many)

1)  Could you please help me better understand what Lixxbail does
exactly.  Specifically what kind of equipment do the lease/rent.  My
classification schema has equipment in many areas.  Is this mainly
office machines, manufacturing equipment, IT/Telecom equipment, etc? 
Or are they more like a leasing company and just do the financing of
anything?  Or are they more like the heavy /light equipment rental
places like United Rentals (www.ur.com)
