Terraserver is your best bet. They buy up declassified spy satellite photos, and also commercial photos, and offer some pretty high resolution pictures for free. They of course offer higher resolution for printing as a service. Here's a link to their lat/long seach. Please note though, most of the non-US countries might not have every square mile mapped out just yet, and I've also provided a link to the providers which source Terraserver and the international areas they cover. Additional Links: Search by lat/long: http://www.terraserver.com/search/coordinates_search.asp Famous landmarks: http://www.terraserver.com/special/landmarks.asp Major cities (US & international): http://www.terraserver.com/special/majorcities.asp List of their providers (with specific area listings if you click on details): http://www.terraserver.com/providers/providers.asp Thank you for your question and I'm glad I could find an answer for you. skermit-ga |

This address will bring you to an excellent source of true-color satellite imagery. Type anything into the image gallery search engine and amazing images will be provided. ie. great lakes, canada, usa or whatever. Even typing the latitude and longitude values will bring results. |

This is also a great site for viewing the earth at any lat/long position: http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/vlatlon.html Play around with all of the controls available, some are pretty cool. |
