I'm a big fan of Bela Fleck, and am looking for information about the
first performance of his band "Bela Fleck and the Flecktones." I have
read many accounts of when they first got together, with varying dates
and details. Supposedly, Bela gathered musicians Victor Wooten and Roy
Wooten to play on a TV show called "Lonesome Pine Special."
I am looking for any kind of recording of this show, audio or
video, or even images. Or even just an accurate, reliable account,
since many of the stories I have read on the internet differ
drastically.
Also, I'm looking for info on where I can get a hold of recordings
form Bela's early bands, "Tasty Licks", "Spectrum", and "The Dreadful
Snakes."

Hey, I found this site. It appears to be a music trading site. There's
a list of users who have this show recorded for trade. Looks like it
could be the one you're looking for. If you can figure out how to get
ahold (email) of any of them, they may be able to hook you up.
Heres the link. Hope it helps :)
