bumtrinket-ga:
Thank you for your Question regarding Web Services solution providers.
"Web Services" is a term that has come to mean different things to
different people. Generally, over the past year or so, the term has
come to mean any automated module accessed over the Internet that
provides some form of information processing for business
applications. Much better definitions that my mangled attempt here,
can be found by asking Google to define 'web services':
To attempt to bring some order to the chaos that is Web Services,
there is an industry group called the Web Services Interoperability
group with membership by almost all of the companies working on
developing Web Services. This group's web presence is maintained at:
http://www.ws-i.org/
More importantly for your needs and this Answer, the WS-I maintains a
list of all of their member organizations, here:
http://www.ws-i.org/Community.aspx?Alpha=All
On this directory page, you can read the self-provided write-ups of
each of the companies, to determine if their line of business matches
your exact needs.
You will notice that there are no links from this page to the websites
of the individual member companies. To learn more about the companies
that pique your interest, you will need to use Google to locate their
home pages; for the most part, you can simplify the search by entering
the company name (in double-quotes) and the phrase "web services"
(include the double-quotes) in the Google search field. For example,
to find the company Reactivity, you would use the following search:
I hope that this helps you in your quest. As well, since this is your
first use of Google Answers, you may wish to take a look at the
following resource for an idea of what you can expect in the future
when you post other questions at any given list price:
