I am trying to find out what happened to Lang's pet food from Michigan..I used to buy it and it was great dog food...I am assuming it went under and I might be interested in buying the defunct company...it has disappeared off the map. |

Debco -- I can find no reference to Lang's dog food except an article that appears to have been written in the mid-1990s (from the bibliography): http://www.macatawa.org/~wilcox_k/diet.html A check of the U.S. Patent & Trademark index shows that the "Lang's" trademark was not registered. I went so far as to try the Infotrac business publication database, which goes back to about 1980. Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Is it possible that Lang's dog food is still in production - just under a different name that you probably know; Dad's?. It would be my hypothesis (if this is the one you're looking for) that the original Lang died and the family took over production and re-created their "Dad's" recipe. Not sure where Michigan would fit into this equation as Dad's is produced in Meadville, Pennsylvania. http://www.dadspetcare.com/ |
