I'm looking for the birth year of Norberto Salinas, who was recently a
professor of mathematics at the University of Kansas. Here is his

I just called the Department of Math at the University of Kansas, and
spoke to Gloria. She said Noberto Salinas is no longer a professor
there, and is on leave from the college for disability pending
retirement. That's probably why he doesn't pick up his phone anymore.
She was also nice enough to look up his age for me, which is 64 years
old, and that puts his birth year in 1940. If you need more specific
information, or a way to contact him directly, I would suggest calling
the Math department and asking for his contact information. I did not
feel comfortable asking and would not be able to post it as an answer
even had I found it for privacy reasons. But thank you for your
question, and it was my pleasure to answer it for you.

If he is the same Norberto Salinas who authored a book titlted "Luna
en bebedero " then his birth year is 1957.  This information was found
on the WorldCat library database.

I have both tried his email addresses and tried calling him. Rumor has
it he has left the University of Kansas for health reasons and now
lives with his brother in Michigan. I have not been able to track down
this brother.
