On October 1st, 2003, I downloaded three images from a "free art
assets" web site. I have long since forgotten the site's name and
URL. I want to know the URL of the site.
The three images are seamless tiling JPG files, designed for use as
backgrounds to web pages, games, and whatnot. To the best of my
recollection the web site's terms of use allowed use of the images for
any purpose and free of charge. Still, I would like to double-check their
terms of use to ensure I am in compliance. (And perhaps download some
more images!)
The three image files are named "Firey_1-1.jpg", "BrightNeb_1-2.jpg", and
"undefined_1-1.jpg". You can view them here at my site:
http://www.midwinter.com/~lch/Firey_1-1.jpg
http://www.midwinter.com/~lch/BrightNeb_1-2.jpg
http://www.midwinter.com/~lch/undefined_1-1.jpg
(For posterity: if it turns out there *are* restrictions on the
images' use, I may need to take them down.)
If it helps, I'm pretty sure I have not altered the images in any way;
they should be bit-for-bit identical to what the site originally
served to me.
All I remember about the site is:
* The images were all original works by the site's owner; the site was
not a general aggregator of textures from other sites.
* I'm pretty sure the site sorted images into varying categories,
rather than lumping all images together or into arbitrary volumes.
* I believe the site made heavy use of dynamic content (PHP and the
like). So I don't imagine it's well-indexed in any search engines. (See below.)
* The site's liberal terms of use (as already mentioned).
* The site employed remarkable restraint, in the face of all these
colorful tiling images, as it had a predominately white background.
To save you some time: I've already tried searching for
"Firey_1-1.jpg", "Firey_1-1", "BrightNeb_1-2.jpg", "BrightNeb_1-2",
"BrightNeb", "undefined_1-1.jpg", and "undefined_1-1". Of those
search terms, only the term "BrightNeb" returned any results, and none of those
were for the site I seek.
I'd also appreciate knowing how you found the site, both out of
general curiosity, and so I might be more self-sufficient in the
future. But this is *strictly optional*. All you need to do to
satisfy my question is give the URL to the site.
