Dear rwbum,

Well, I have some good and bad news...and, an answer on how to replace it.

What I did, is I did a google search to begin with for Mitsubishi TV
Repair in my area and came up with

American TV
Des Moines, IA

I called their service tech, and gave them the model # and part # for
your TV that you were asking about. He said in that model of TV they
only do board level repair/replacement not chip level, and he didn't
think there was an instruction manual or whatnot for that TV. He then
called Mitsubishi for me 1-800-332-2119 and the representative there
told us to go to
www.mitsubishi-tv.com
When I went to the website, I clicked on Support, then Contact Us and
called this listing for more info

I spoke with a representative about this issue and she told me this...
You can order a service manual for your TV. They are not online
because of copyright material, so whenever they find them published,
they get them taken down. The service manual is $47.50 USD, $10.00 USD
shipping and handling and applicable taxes apply. You would receive
the manual is 5-7 business days. However, if your TV still has a
warranty on it, any replacement or opening/tampering with the TV voids
the warranty, so she recommended taking it into a service center that
is authorized to work on Mitsubishi TV's.

Therefore, while you can find out exactly where it is, you would have
to order the manual to do it. However, she also stated it might be a
board level repair, not chip level. Therefore, you may need to replace
the whole board anyway once you get the manual.

I am glad we found a way for you to get the instructions on how to
replace the part in the broken TV.

Thanks Nenna,
I had actually done all you mentioned. A service repairmen in my area
has the manual for my TV but he wanted to charge me too much labor as
far as I was concerned. I have ordered the part and have it. I wanted
to do the work myself, this is why I asked the WHERE question. Thanks
for the help.
