What did you configure the server to handle as the maximum allowed connections at one time? |

That question cannot be answered at all, and anyone who submits an answers is a liar because it TOTALLY depends on what those transactions are doing! Multiple table joins? Cartesian joins? How are tables indexed? How fast are the disks? Are they any non-sargable arguments in the query? How much RAM is available? Are you doing inserts or selects? Are they another processes running of the server database? www.sql-performance.com is a great resource on sql server performance optimization techniques. I suggest you simply create a loop and benchmark the performance yourself. Each configuration is somewhat unique. Best regards, Max |
