I'm conducting research on nuclear testing. I would like to
have comparative, simple statistics on the following:
1) Total number of nuclear tests performed in the continental US?
2) Total number of nuclear tests performed by US elsewhere? Please
include total number of detonations and where they were performed.

Dear raxx-ga,

South Atlantic 3
Johnson Island 12
Christmas Island (US & UK) 24

Specifically, I am trying to find comparative nuclear test information
to qualify the amount of detonations that took place at a single test
site now located in Kazakstan relative to anywhere else in the world.
But I DID NOT ask this question specifically enough the first time around.
Can you break the '928' figure down for me, to reflect the number of
US (continental) detonations that were done on a site by site basis?
I am happy to post a new question and a price for it if what I am
asking is out of the 'clarification' bounds. Please let me know.
In either case I will give you top rating for your answer now.
Thank you so much.

Dear raxx-ga,
Slightly out of the question area, but here are the figures.
919 Nevada test site
1 Nevada
1 Mississippi
2 Colorado
3 New Mexico
2 Alaska
All taken from http://seismo.ethz.ch/bsv/nuclear_explosions/usa.html
Thanks for tip. Good luck with the research.

I would tip more, but I am a poor grad student. This service is
fantastic! I'm thrilled that my lazy googling, i.e. my decision to
just type out the question I wanted an answer for, led me to this
site!
