Various databases, such as SelectPhone and PhoneDisc USA offer
telephone databases. However, these databases require one-at-a-time
inputs and limit output downloads. We are looking for telephone
databases where we can conduct matches in batch; inputing phone
numbers to obtain addresses, inputing addresses to obtain phone
numbers.

Hi dlf-ga
I came up with 2 companies that provide these services, I really
thought there would be a lot more, there were hundres that let you
look up numbers one at a time, and hundreds that let you do reverse
searches but very few that allow you to prefom batch searches.

RealEDA

"...easy online internet access for individual requests or allow us to
quickly & accurately process hundreds or thousands of requests by
batch appending telephone numbers directly from information provided
by the actual local telephone company directory assistance databases

Masterfiles

"Batch Processing - Batch processing provides users a cost-effective
solution to obtain a large volume of accurate telephone numbers or
names and addresses. Users may transmit files by email or FTP..."

"Interactive Web Access - Imagine a screen on your computer where you
could type in a name and city, state or zip and obtain the most
current telephone listing in the United States. Any telephone listing
is just clicks away."

"...that allow them to search on a real time basis, the directory
assistance databases of Ameritech*, Bell South*, Cincinnati Bell*,
PacBell*, QWEST*, Southern New England Telephone*, Southwestern Bell*,
and Verizon*. Each month, millions of telephone records are added,
deleted, or amended, therefore it is imperative that you have
real-time access to accurate database through MasterFiles."

"The Residential and Business Search feature, for example, lets users
search for a phone number and address when name, city, and state are
available. The Reverse Telephone Number Search feature allows users to
search for the name and address in the event that only the telephone
number is available. The Reach Directory Assistance service."

The listings provided were very weak. We were looking for databases
we could purchase whole, as you could the examples given a couple
years ago. As to databases that can be matched over the Internet at
least a dozen additional firms we know of provide such matches. None
of the major providers, such as Experion, were listed.

Check out the telephone directories on
http://www.usa.com/info.usa/index.htm?nl=1, they have yellow and white
pages for multiple countries.

Check out the following sites, which have not only the address search,
but the reverse search feature, if you know the phone number. Some of
these sites will also allow you to search for business emails and fax
numbers

www.anywho.com
www.phonenumbers.net
www.reversephonedirectory.com
www.555-1212.com
www.switchboard.com
www.lookupusa.com
www.yellowpages.com

All these sites are currently up-to-date and still available
