i know that Michael Jackson owns some of the songs because of his
marriage to Lisa Marie.

also, appaerently many record labels have the greater rights to the
songs they were written under.  elvis is specifically mentioned in
this article hinting that the record company owned a lot of the
copyrights.

and logically, since elvis presley is dead, he doesn't really own anything anymore.
