I am 42 years old, I've lost everthing but my home. Every one says they can help, but when they here Bankruptsy, they can't hang up the phone fast enough. My health has me totally disabled, I' ve had mant surgerys, the last one was a life or death situation.I've been to many Dr.s all neauroligists, who are all to willing to pass me to the next Dr. My husband at 35, had to have a pacemaker 2 years ago. even with Ins. It adds up to a lot. I'm not asking for a gift, but just a refinance, to help save my home, so I just wont be another homeless american, no one expects to have sudden and severe medical problems, and I have to many on my list. my husband has to work out of town, and I cannot take care of myself. I wish I could work, and have a normal life, but that wasn't meant for me I guess.. If I revealed my story, It's hard for me to believe whats happened to me and my family. I've allready lost a sister at 32, a brother at 46, and my father. No one ever says Life was fair! But someone has to know some way to help people like myself! (One Dr.Told me, flat straight to my face, your parents, should have never had children.) I was devastated! Somthing like that, never leaves you. |

Doctors can be overly blunt at times. Try to think he said that so you would understand what to say in seeking help. Scarcely anyone thinks you should be punished for the mistakes of your parents. I know it is humiliating to ask for charity, but I think you need to do that. Most places in the USA have lots of places you can call. Often the person who answers the phone can suggest other places who may be able to help if they can't. Just explain to whoever answers the phone and answer their questions as completely and honestly as possible. If going to fill out an application is difficult, try to determine if they likely can help before you go there. Many agencies and charities will be reluctant to help unless you are willing to sell your house (especally if your house has $50,000 or more in equity) but others may be willing to make an exception. Some Churches will help even if you are not a member. I presume you have gotten some help from friends and relatives. I presume you have cut unnecessary spending drastically. You have likely concluded correctly that you can not refinance. Typically you need to wait a year or two following a bankruptsey, plus it appears from what you said, you may not be able to make the new mortgage payments next year or the year after. You may be able to get on Social Security disability. Someone in your community may be willing to buy your house for much less than it is worth and give you a life right. You should not do that if you are likely to want to move in a few years. A google researcher may be willing to call on your behalf if you are willing to tell your city or village. or county. Neil |
