I would like to use "bbkeys" to set my key bindings such that I can
use the numeric key pad to switch between 9 desktops. (I am running
Debian Linux and the Blackbox window manager.) Using the script
"bbkeysconf.pl", I have successfully set up bindings to other keys.
However, if I use this script to set desktop 1 to keystroke ctrl+7,
where 7 is on the keypad, then later ctrl+7 (7 on key pad) does
nothing. But, ctrl+7 (7 above the 'u' key) performs the desired
action. How can I use the key pad to change desktops, using bbkeys?
Is there some escape sequence that distingishes the keypad numbers
from the other numbers? Thanks.

Your posting allowed me to set up bbkeys as I desired. Indeed, xev
showed that my key pad keys could be referred to as KP_1 ... KP_9.
Thank you much!

Use the command 'xev' to see what key events are generated for each
keypress. To the system, the number row 7 is a totally different key
than the number pad 7.

On my system, the keycode for number row 7 is 16, for number pad 7 it
is 79. If you want to use both sets of numbers, you will have to
create mappings for both the number row and the keypad.
