What is Dupont analysis? How is it used in fanancial analysis? Can you
give me examples of its use?

Our first link provides a good definition of the Dupont analysis and
it also provides good examples on how to use them.

"The DuPont System of Analysis merges the income statement and balance
sheet into two summary measures of profitability: Return on Assets
(ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). The system uses three financial
ratios to express the ROA and ROE: Operating Profit Margin Ratio
(OPM), Asset Turnover Ratio (ATR), and Equity Multiplier (EM)."

You can access a PDF file by downloading a program like the Adobe
Acrobat Reader. You can download it here for free.

Adobe Reader
